So P95Carry got me hooked on pin shooting with a .22 so now I want to add a red dot to a .22 to be a little bit more competitive. Only problem is the only two .22 pistols I have are a S&W 422 and a Walther P22, to get a rail on either seems to cost around 40-50 just for the rail. Plus they're wierd rails that either lock on to a lower rail (p22) or replace one side of the grips (422) both then come up and over the slide. Should I even bother with these types of mounting systems or should I just start looking for something that can take a rail easier? IE MkII or Buckmark or something else.

And a Buckmark 5.5 Target or Fields has a full length Weaver rail when you buy it.Find one and buy it along w/ your favorite red dot.A year from now you will still be smiling!

There's nothing wrong w/being wierd.Trust me in this.:)

If your comfortable shooting what you already have then, unless you've got Iwannanewgunitis, there's no reason not to spend a few bucks & fine tune what you already own.

Just be careful if you paint it pink. You can take wierd a little too far. :D
