I've got another stuck case. This time in a Redding resizing/decapping die. Thought I had soaked the heck out of it w/ lube but I guess not enough.....other pieces went well, but this particular one was crispy going in from the start......
I'm going to try punching it back out from the top down...
I use One Shot for all my straight wall pistol cases and it works great for me. For rifle I use Hornady Unique. I have to apply it to each case when I start a session, and then every 3-5 cases after that.
If using One Shot, you must shake the can well. Then you must spray the cases well. And then you have to wait for it to dry. If you don't wait for it to dry you will get a stuck case. I usually spray it and walk away for a cup of coffee or a smoke. Ten minutes should be enough time.
I've got a 3-Die Lee set on the way from ebay. I've got a caliber conversion kit on the way from Dillon..... I'm just debating on where to go as far as a trimming setup.
Then powder and bullets after that.
If you have a lot of brass you won't need a trimmer for a couple yrs. I shoot mixed brass and don't shoot max loads in any of my autoloaders. they don't grow much. Mostly just range shooting with friends and family. I do swage primer pocket and mark all my 223/556 brass so I know which ones are mine that I have swaged. Other than that I take fired brass, tumble brass, dump it in my case collator on the 650 xl and load an ammo can full then tumble for half hour to remove lube. I have a an Interarms Mini MK X .223 that I load precision with same headstamp brass and keep it separate from my other stuff. Good luck.
