I have shot IMR4350 with the 100 gr. BT from Nosler, and didn't find any immediate accuracy from this combination out of my 22" barreled XL-7.
So I was visiting my mother, and while taking her on a trip to Wal-Mart I purchased a pound of RL-22.

Has anyone had good success with a 100 gr. BT and RL-22 in their .25-06? I am looking to start around 55 grains, and loaded to 3.200 OAL. Even though my rifling starts at 3.260.

I loaded the 115 gr. CT/BT to 3.260, and had good success, but not so with the 100 gr. at that length. So I thought I'd load the IMR4350 a little shorter, and also load some RL-22 at 3.200 and 3.260.

The brass is neck sized from my rifle.

Thoughts?

I tried it, didn't like it as good as Retumbo for both those bullet weights. I use H4831 for 87 grain bullets with good success too.

Mine is a Ruger #1V with the bull barrel. This is the 100 grain Ballistic Tip at 150 yards shooting off the hood of my pickup truck. Retumbo was the powder for those loads.

No, the marks you see on the case neck are from the Lee Collet Neck Die. I was a bit aggressive when sizing them. The Ruger has a generous chamber and accuracy falls off a bit if I FL size the case. I also re-form 30-06 brass to 25-06. I have really good luck with the "Greek" brass, HXB headstamp. I like it also because it does not have a cartridge name in the headstamp, just HXB and the year it was made.
