.38 for CCW for my Wife?

A .22 revolver would be a good time.

We still all take out our Marlin 60's and 10/22's everytime we go shooting (which we spend most of the time shooting since .45's are so expensive right now)

My buddy has a Sig P220, and it's great, other than it only has a 10 round mag for some reason?

The Bill

I'll echo many of the opinions posted here and add that it's hard to go wrong with a S&W 60 or a 649.

Depending on how it fits her hand. Proper grip and trigger reach in particular. My girlfriend is a tiny little hobbit girl, she likes the rubber grip that comes with the J-frames. But she is seemingly immune to recoil (double up on the hearing protection). Full house .357's are "kinda wimpy" to her and she likes shooting my 10mm with Buffalo Bores. It takes 2 hands to hold on to it even with the grip reduction but she thinks it "kicks butt" :what: The guy's at the local range think she's a little sick that way.

Oddly enough my 12 yo daughter likes the 60 with standard load .38's +p. Go figure.

Don't let anyone fool you... Aesthetics plays a large part in choosing a gun that a non gun type person will carry.

Get her a 442 or LCR, All she has to do is pull the trigger. They both handle +P too. With a small J frame, I like and have CT grips to help aid in site acquisition.
