Will the Lee Factory Crimp Die{44special} resize my cast lead bullet which is .431 in diameter while applying the roll crimp?

If it has the carbide insert it will. Some folks will knock the insert out of the die, or there are two other flavors of crimp dies that Lee offers for the 44 special. There is a taper crimp and a collet crimp.

I just knocked the carbide ring out and I have no troubles with mine. I believe that is what you are getting with the collet crimp die from Lee. No post sizing carbide ring.

If you knock out the carbide ring, is it ruined or can it be reinserted?

Well it came out in one piece but I never bothered to try to put it back in again. Can't help you there, but the factory pressed it in to begin with so I would imagine you could reinsert it.
