Okay; I recently purchased a 4566 upper, thinking I could use it with my 4506receiver; can't do it; requires mod/cuts around dust cover which S&W won't do. I had thought it should work with a simple swap out. 4516 slide sems to with no problem (a la 4596).
I had read on the S&W forum of someone using 4566 slide on 4516 receiver, (also 1066 slide on 4516 receiver with mag swap) and being quite pleased with it; can anyone tell me more about that? Post pix please? Can't get to S&W forum from Yahoo.
Anybody else tried the 4566 on 4506 trick and who did you get to do the mods?
