Quick question for the experts...

I picked up a 1995 (never fired) Rossi Puma 92 .45LC at a garage sale for $200. Came with box and all the papers. I know that they sell for about $350 on gunbroker but I would like to know if this is a keeper or if I should look at selling it for a small profit.

My other rifles are much more "practical" (a .22 and a .223) and spend most of the time at the range so I am really not sure what I would use this for other then a nice mantle piece or perhaps a home defense piece.

Thanks in advance for the advice!

They're a complete and total piece of crap . . . .I"ll give you $210 and take it off your hands because I'm a nice guy. :)

(sounds like you did great at that price. I've been looking at them at $499 and been real close to buying one a number of times. )

Good deal. If you shoot it and its accurate enough for you, you like the furniture and finish, then it's a keeper, right?

And DMFTOY1 was really low-balling you. I'll give you $220. :)

Shoot it and see! If you like it, keep it. If you don't, sell it (at a profit) and move on. You do know, though, if you keep it you'll have to get a .45 revolver to go with it, right?

That's a great price. I just picked up a SS saddle ring carbine myself to replace a winchester legacy I sold...

While we're on the subject, and advice on slicking them up a little? My trigger is a bit heavy, and it takes a small bit of force to close the action....

Rossi M92 45 Colt

Check out leverguns.com and you will find a lot of good posts about the Rossi M92 in 45 Colt. If it the pre-safety model thats even better.

Good luck

Thanks for the advice everyone! I think I am going to keep it. I was playing with it last night and I really like it! :)

250...

keep it! I want one in .357 or .44 and maybe even the LC if I keep my smith 25-5

Lots of power in a compact package with that gun or nice plinkin with light loads. You did well on that purchase!

I can't believe the low-ball attitude my fellow High Roaders are taking...$260.95!

Seriously...keep it, shoot it, enjoy it. You've already made your ammo money when you bought the thing!

They are great

a hair under 6 lbs and really slim. Makes for a great outdoor companion. It's pretty accurate and is fine out to 100 yards. Anything beyond that calls for some accurate holdover on your part.
A really strong action. A handloader's dream.
