There is no specific online page or manual that specifies a load for a 9mm 124gr copper plated load. xTreme says use the light to medium Jackets loads, Hodgdon doesn't have anything that matches, nor does my Lyman's reloading manual. I collected data from here and other places on the web and saw ranges from 3.8 to 4.8 HP38 for this. I have a friend that loads W231 for this bullet at 5.0 (which seems high to me, but he said his glock won't eject properly otherwise).
Send Hodgdon and email and asked them if 4.2gr HP38 with the 124gr CP 9mm was a good starting load. They replied that the load would be appropriate.
So I'm going to try 4.2gr HP38 124gr CP 9mm with my wife's LC9. Hopefully I'll have time Sunday to load up about 21 and try them out. I'll shoot the first 7, then want my wife to compare to the factory loads she's been using. It'll be my first time for a 9mm, and it'll be on my second pound of powder, since I've used up my first pound of powder and over 2000 reloads later.
