Just closed a deal on a S&W model 15-4 Such a natural feel it has in your hand Square butt,original wood grips, fireing pin on the hammer and passed the ol'e revolver check out test.She's a beauty.....so how did I do at $260?
Well, Steve we need a little more info before we
can guesstimate? Would you grade the gun at
90%, 95% or higher. How about fit N' finish?
Same for lock work. Grips- a thing of beauty, or
are they chipped, dinged, or cracked? This info
is important in our decision.
Thanks Ala,yup,I should have said all that up front,I was just a little excited about adding another Smith to the stable I would rate this little honey at an easy 95%,fit and finish as well,and I can find no imperfections or evidence of any of the screws being tampered with,but yes,a T I N Y chip to the grip on the outmost corner.
Thanks
Edited for Serial # ADU49xx born on date please????
Sounds like yours would go on the + side of $275;
more like $325. I've seen 98 per centers go for as
high as $345, here in my part of the valley. Sounds
like do did well my friend.
Also, book says it was made between Jan and Nov
of 1984; most likely late Sept or early Oct.
By the way,can this revolver handle most any .38 special rounds that are out there?I load my own for plinking but what would be a good defensive round for carrying please?
Your K-frame M15 is amply strong enough for any factory standard or +P ammo on the market. They are great guns with superb triggers, very accurate, handsomely made, and just plain fun to shoot.
