Ankle holster

I'd like to get a relatively cheap ankle holster fire my TCP. I've never considered it before, but I was thinking the other day that I do a lot of driving and sitting at a desk so on days where I'll be sitting a lot, ankle carry might be the most comfortable/accessible.

I'd like to get a cheaper one for now so I can see if I like it before I drop a lot of money on one, but for now I would just like suggestions on which ones are good/comfortable.

So which ankle holster would you all suggest?

I don't know if this is in your budget but Renegade Cozy Partner makes an excellent ankle holster. I wasted $60 on a Galco ankle holster for my Ruger LCR but it'll rot away in a box now that I've seen the light. What you need is the Model 53. I have the Model 52 and it's excellent.

Galco Ankle Glove. Carry a 642 in one and can forget it's there.

Renegade Cozy Partner, I have used this for a couple of years 5-6 days per week. If you go cheaper than this it won't represent what a good ankle holster feels like.

I carry a 642 in a Gould & Goodrich ankle holster with the garter strap.

I do this at work, so I have boots on and tall, thick socks, so my comfort level with it may be different than others.

I like it, though, because I can reach it easily in a car. I can also get to it with both hands.

this holster has alot of padding around it. it is really comfortable

Ankle glove

Galco ankle glove for me too - own 2 of them for hammerless & hammered S&W's.

Wear them MOST of the time as a BUG,but when I want deep cover [ concerts & weddings ] I go with just the ankle rig.

I have a Galco "cop ankle band". I really like the holster and have nothing to complain about.

a light gun does not require a heavy holster. saying this you have to consider what activity youre likely to do. if no running or climbing and all that jazz is required there are plenty of the elastic band types which will work.

I have been using the DeSantis Apache for about 10 years and like it a lot. I may try a Galco ankle glove just for comparison.

My first ankle holster was a Lou Alessie ankle rig. It is comfortable but I couldn't cinch it tight enough to work construction. It flopped when I ran.



The DeSantis Apache was inexpensive, cinched tight enough above my work boot to climb ladders, crawl through ceilings and crawl spaces, run, jump etc etc.

If you go cheap you get poor padding, design, etc. Like drinking rotgut to see if you like whiskey.

Get the DeSantis.
