Any conceal an carry stories out there?

I'm going to be taking the conceal and carry class soon. I really don't know how much I'll carry it on my person, but it will alway be in the truck. I was just wondering if any of you out there have had to actually draw your weapon or shoot for any reason? What were the circumstances? Did you get cheers or jeers from the police? Just wondering, havn't really seen this topic yet here. Really looking for personal stories, not stories that you have heard about.
