that you have no chance of winning because you just want to shoot something different?
A couple years ago, one of the best shooters I know entered a USMC League 5-V slow fire match with a .45/70 trapdoor Springfield.
After that, my attitude changed and from time to time I'd try the MN course with a Springfield or some piece of junk.
I still get out there and compete with a match rifle, but from time to time I just get a case of the WTFs and go against the grain.
Anyone else do this?
