The blued King Cobra's are more rare simply because Colt made far fewer of them.
The King Cobra was a "first" for a major revolver maker. It was the first time a major manufacturer introduced a new revolver in stainless BEFORE it was made in blued.
By the time the KC hit the market, the buying public had "voted with their money" and what they wanted was stainless steel guns.
Blued guns were already being greatly over sold by stainless, so Colt just didn't make that many blued KC's.
