I currently own a Sigma 40, purchased in 1994 or 1995 (whenever they first came out). It is an OK pistol, though it will not shoot lead-only FMJ. It is an accurate gun, fits my hand well and is easy to line up the sights. The only thing I really dislike (other than jams with lead) is the trigger. I am interested in getting the M&P compact 9. I was wondering if anyone else who has owned a Sigma has purchased an M&P, and if it is a major improvement over the Sigma.
I also own a XD40 (with 9mm conversion barrel) and a Taurus Mil-Pro 140, which is my concealed carry pistol.
I would probably trade in the Sigma or the Taurus in order to get the M&P.
