Are AO Thompsons any good?

Elsewhere on this forum there is a thread where people are asked to say what type of guns they would not ever buy again. I did not read all the posts ( too many ) but I did read on where there was a problem with a 1927A1 version. Has any one else on this forum ever had any experiences buying the semi auto Thompsons now made by AO which is owned by Kahr and are they any good?

I have the M1 version and I really like it.No problems w/ 20 or 30 round sticks.I have only run brass 230 grain fmj though.
It's a fun gun and if push came to shove,I would use it for H/D.
