Was offered a Russian with a plastic MonteCarlo stock, cover mounted scope, Lee reloading die set, and 100 rounds wolf for $250.:)
Rifle has chrome chamber and barrel, and looks to be in good shape except for front sight adjusted way left.
I've and extra chinese stock and could make it look as a stock rifle.
I like the modifications on this sks, but is it worth more with a wood stock?
Why would anyone want to reload 7.62 x 39:confused:

That's probably about par for what that would go for in my part of the world. Russians still bring good prices here although the influx of prime Yugo SKS's are probably keeping Russian prices down a bit. Would go for more if it had an original stock/bayonet on it. I've seen unfired ones for around $300 give or take. Probable reason for the sight and the scope: the second of the three Russian SKS rifles that I've owned (I believe it was an arsenal rebuild - had a laminated stock) had the barrel not attached quite right. Had to crank the front sight alllll the way to one side to hit a target. Wouldn't have mattered to a soldier but I thought it looked goofy. A scope would have fixed it. I opted for the sell-it-at-a-gun-show fix. Just be aware that that sight might have to stay over to one side if you opt to remove the scope. Can't think of why anyone would reload that caliber unless they wanted to deer hunt with one of their own loads. I'd hold off and try to get one without the barrel/front sight problem.
