Guys I am trying to decide which of these two holsters I am ordering today for my new Walther PPS. I am a big guy 6'5" and 225 pounds. The thinnest possible holster is needed as I find IWB unconfortable but a neccesity. Here are the 2 choices.

Thanks guys. As a side note I own 4 Blade Techs but have never owned a Comp Tac, so willing to give it a try if everyone thinks they are better.

I have a Crossbreed Supertuck for my PPS that is perfect, but it's pretty different from those two. Sometimes, the thinnest is not always the most comfortable though. I think having a holster with a really good design and construction is more important than shaving off a 1/10", and as leadcounsel mentioned leather will generally be much more comfortable than kydex (especially horsehide). I have horsehide on my PPS Supertuck and it's really a comfortable holster.

Comp-tac makes some cool stuff like the MTAC and CTAC holsters. I plan on ordering one of those two soon for my M&P.

I'm a big guy too. I'm 6'2 and 270 lbs. I have a comptac minotaur spartan. Best holster I've ever had. Sometimes I forget I'm wearing it. ( don't respond and say that get another or something witty like that) Anyways It cost 40 more but very worth it. The large holster is more evenly distributed across you body. I can't swear enough by it.

I would say go with the MTAC from Comp-Tac or the Supertuck. They have very thin profiles and the leather is more comfortable than the hard kydex againt your skin. JMO

I've owned and carried with the CTAC and MTAC. The Comptac isn't really thin as it uses a pretty strong kydex. It is very adjustable and a very good holster though. I would think you would be much happier with it that the MTAC. The MTAC is not thin and I find its retention to be rally sub par compared to the CTAC. If you want a really good and thin holster by favorite is a Peters Custom Holster. I carry my M&P in it and the entire profile of the weapon is much smaller with the PCH. It is also a very comfortable and stable holster with great retention. Its hard to go wrong with the CTAC though and Comptacs delivery time and customer service is second to none.

BTW. A little padded mole skin on the low spots of the CTAC and some regular mole skin on the other inside surfaces of the CTAC makes it even more comfortable.

I have a Comp-Tac holster for every handgun that I own that they make one for. They make a great product and they have outstanding CS!

I've never owned one of their IWB holsters, only paddle holsters. However I wouldn't hesitate to buy a Comp-Tac IWB holster if I were in the market for one.
