I've been away from the shotgunning thing for a couple of months now. Funny how a new (and equally awful) job sucks away your free time.

I guess I'm posting to point out two things:

First, I just spent two weeks down at Fort Bragg, NC. The gate guards carry shotguns about 1/4 of the time, and they carry Mossberg 590A1s. Just as a data point.

Second, I shot three rounds of trap last night, for the first time since... February? March? I have a couple of observations: first, shooting in 80-degree weather is significantly different from 20-40 degree weather. Second, leaves on the trees makes for a rather more distracting background. And third, three rounds of trap in shirtsleeves after months away (and that in a heavy leather jacket) leaves you with a nice big bruise. Good feelin'.

Anyway. Hi. Good to be back.

Welcome back,Fish.

The Gummint has lots of shotguns, including 590s. I'm surprised these gate guards don't carry them 100% of the time.

3 rounds of trap in shirt sleeves shouldn't leave you damaged. I usually shoot in a T shirt. Next time at PGC maybe we can work on your form...

Welcome back Fish.....

I was away from trap for a couple months as well but finally snuck away for 4 rounds on Wednesday along with the wife.

She had her best day ever, shooting 12's on a couple of rounds.

I, OTOH, was awful.......worst 4 rounds I've ever shot......won't even humiliate myself by posting scores.

I'll be getting back on the proverbial horse next week, however....
