I'm looking for a carbine trajectory for .45 ACP loads. If anyone has any experience with optics on a CX4, what are set up to shoot at 25, 50, and 100 yards? Thanks.
My Cx4 in 9mm currently wears a Weaver 1-3x scope. It has sufficient eye relief to mount forward a bit and allows fast target acquisition on 1x, and still plenty of magnification on 3x to bust clays at 100 yds.
124gr XTP @1400fps
1/2 inch low at 25 yds
1/2 inch high at 50 yds
dead on at 75 yds
Haven't played with the 45 ACP--might be best with the lighter bullets (185) for flatter trajectory out to 100 yds.
You'll need more data than "carbine trajectory", specifically muzzle velocity, bullet weight, ballistic coefficient of the bullet, and height of the sight above the boreline.
