Picked up this Limited Edition Mini-Barrage 586-1401 produced for the 2014 SHOT Show. The assist mechanism is incredibly strong. You need a good grip when you open the blade. It is built like a tank with excellent looks. This has the smallest blade on any AXIS lock BM I own but it fills a nice niche.

•2014 SHOT Show Special
•Patented Axis-Assist lock mechanism
•Premium M390 (HRC 60-62) blade steel
•Black anodized aluminum bolsters with green/black G10 handle scales
•Black oxide hardware and split arrow reversible pocket clip, 750 Piece Limited Edition

I do like Warren Osborne's knife designs. It does look a bit like the Ritter Griptilian though.

Nice.

Yeah, that grind is quite a bit higher than the standard blade.
And I really like those G10 scales. Wish they all came with those, it's the only thing I don't like about mine.

I've been keeping an eye open for a mini Barrage. I have a full size Barrage that was my EDC for the longest time. It got misplaced a couple times, so I dropped it out of my rotation because I can't afford to replace it any time soon.

Great knives. Been a Benchmade fan since I got my first one issued to me in '04 at Balad AB, Iraq.

Cabela's has them on 'sale' right now, if you consider $109.88 a sale.
It's $10 less than MAP, and Benchmade has gotten very strict about enforcing MAP.
