Any one use them? I bought some Berry's hollow points a few years back. I shot a few and was not able to see any expansion. Now I see those bullets being sold as "Target Hollow Points". I guess I don't know what a target hollow point is.

Do the Berry's Hybrid Hollow points expand well? I ordered some 124 grain Hybrid HP's in 9mm. They look snappy, are they?

The hollow point on normal plated bullets is meant to reduce ricochets on steel targets. The are not meant to expand. I don't have any experience with the hybrid hollow points. If made right it should be alot like a gold dot which is also a plated bullet with a hollow point pressed into it.

Berry's Hybrid HP bullets are sold with suggested velocities for proper expansion - https://www.berrysmfg.com/products/hhp/hhp-45cal-452

"Our NEW Hybrid Hollow Point is a bonded copper plated bullet with a swaged lead core. The Hybrid design was created by merging two developmental HP design ideas.

When loaded at recommended velocities, the Hybrid Hollow Point penetrates 11" to 13" in gelatin with excellent accuracy and a minimum of 98% weight retention."

Caliber/Bullet weight/Recommended velocity:

9mm 124 gr HHP: 1050 - 1150 fps
9mm 147 gr HHP: 975 - 1075 fps
40/10mm 180 gr HHP: 975 - 1075 fps
45ACP 185 gr HHP: 975 - 1125 fps
45ACP 200 gr HHP: 925 - 1075 fps
45ACP 230 gr HHP: 825 - 975 fps
