So the wife drug me to the city wide garage sale today. I made out like a bandit to say the least.

I’m not a big shotgun loader these days and have never been a big enough shooter to own a press of this caliber. (Mec sizemaster for me) But I’m hoping I can turn it into a quality rifle press or something I can use. What’s one of these go for? Looks like it’s in very nice shape, doesn’t even really need cleaned looks like. I think all it needs is me to throw the bushings in the tumbler to freshen them up. This thing is beautiful and runs so smooth after being in storage for years. Looks like a good mantle piece but I bet the wife won’t agree.

That press sells for ~$600 on the used market in that condition. If you're not going to use it you might want to sell it off, that will buy a lot of components or maybe even a nice used shotgun.

Yea I initially figured I’d sell it, but after running a few shells through it I’m thinking I’ll just sell my sizemaster and 600jr press and keep this one. I guess I could take a day and load up all my snot shell components with this bad boy! I may post it up on some classifieds for trade for a Dillon 650 or something I’d get a lot more use out of that.
I’m pretty proud of it. There was a monster garage sale and the wife walked out of the garage and said “ no buying reloading stuff Mr Turner” I immediately scurried in there and saw this next to a couple mec presses and some ancient wads. I grabbed it and told the wife sorry this is coming home with me and I’ll explain why later! It was like 10AM and I cannot believe it was there still.

Nice looking press, never used one but the PW stuff is supposed to be quality equipment.
I say keep it.

50.00- you could not not buy that! Congrats! I did not see that picture when I asked before...

I got a dillon "650" shotgun press from auction I heard of a few years back... called and bid 250 sight unseen... it shipped to me after I won it for 225 and like 50.00 shipping... the big surprise was it was in great shape and was a sl900 AND it came with a lyman lubrisizer n dies as part of the "lot" that I did not know was included :) Neither is for sale

Thanks guys! I’m proud to own it. I really like having equipment you can be proud of, but I don’t get to often because I’m so cheap and broke.

Hopefully next time i get this lucky it’s blue and loads rifle rounds!

Do y’all think the vibratory tumbler would be the best way to knock the corrosion off the bushings?

Do you know any one with a wet tumbler? I use mine for glass Hummingbird feeders, squeaky clean inside and out. Also did one rusty french metric (cresent) wrench that had been forgotten in the back of the tractor. It was neat to find a single pin clenched in the jaws end ways. Even the screw adjustment was clean.
