Kimber copied the idea of the Ed Brown bobtail with there super carry line.
Fusion Firearms sells a bobtail style MSH http://www.fusionfirearms.com/servlet/the-574/BOBTAIL--Style-dsh--Mainspring/Detail
Has anyone used these off brand MSH? I'm thinking about doing a bobtail but the only jig out there is made by EB and I'm not sure they would be the same layout as the EB. Is the Kimber housing available to the public?

BTW I posted this in gunsmithing and got no response, this board gets more traffic.

Why not buy Ed brown and jig at same time . After all he started it and their not all that expensive bought together from Brown. Wilson has a round butt Requires just a little frame work and its not as radical as Browns. I love my Dan Wesson bobtail they use ED Brown parts .

I haven't handled a real bobtail before, I checked out the kimber and liked it but the EB version is different and if this fusion part is rounded like the kimber part I might like it better.

If you plan on buying a bobtail MSH that is not an EB, then I would take the frame to a gunsmith or machinist and they can cut the frame to match whatever bobtail MSH you have. But if it were me, I'd just get the EB MSH and make the whole process much more simple.
