it's amazing how ignorant Hmongs are with firearms

Hey now, let's not be too general! :D

I think that definitely would explain something though. There are many differences with regards to guns, between different cultures.

It may be bias, but learning that it was a foreign family, leads me to believe that a lesser stance on gun safety was taken, regarding the children.

Hey Ed, completely hypothetical, but how easy/legal would it be to obtain a CCW from up there, if you live down south of there. Santa Barbara area?

Can't do it. Back in the early 90's, it was legal for a cheif to give out permits anywhere in the county. This still wouldn't help you, but it was a big deal because those of us who lived in Sacramento County couldn't get a permit locally but were able to go to Isleton and get one from Cheif Byrd. This made all the other anti-gun cheifs so mad they changed the law and ran Cheif Bryd out of office. I was able to renew once so I had my CCW for 2 years, as they were only good for one year.

Now CCW's can only be given out locally, and you can't even drive across the county and get one. Man I'm glad I'm out of there!

Well, I guess it's hopeless... Hypothetically of course...

I guess my knife will have to do.

It sucks to love California and hate California at the same time... :(
