I have a Browning Buckmark 4" round barrel that I shot for the first time today. Started with American Eagle ammo. Terrible results with loading and ejecting. Switched to Remington Thunderbolt. No problems at all.

Has anyone had any luck with anything besides Remington? What are your recommendations?

I have had excellent results with CCI standaard velocity, CCI Blazer (cheaper stuff) and with Aguilla standard velocity. Federal high velocity bulk copper plated also has worked very well, and I cant say I have had any problems with american eagle copper plated high velocity in the 40 round boxes.

Maybe you have a bad batch??

Another possibility - -

Both Elder Son and I have had good experience using the Federal bulk pack (550 rounds for a very reasonable price) hollow point ammo in our Buckmarks. He has an older example with the long barrel, and mine is slightly newer, with the four-inch.

We've used the green 550 pack stuff and the AE stuff in my W's buckmark URX with no problems. Only issue has been from her not slamming the magazine firmly in, so when the slide closes, it doesn't pick up a cartridge.

But with a firm whack, that problem is gone.

Outside of that, everything has been fine.
