Almost 2 weeks ago i did a special order with a local shop for a Kahr MK9 and i know from previous experience talking to other shops its not an easy gun to get quickly.
I put $100 deposit down and to be picked up at the first of the year, I was supposed to be called with-in one week as he said he would have it that fast and i could come in and inspect it. I haven't heard from them and didn't call as i want a reason to go to the shop in person anyhow. I think they are being a little bit unrealistic in how fast they can get the gun from what i hear from other shops.
But they are a smaller than my usual shop thats locally owned and did me right by a deal i just did so i wanted to give them the benefit of doubt and let them attempt it.
Anyhow im going today to see if it came in or ever will.
Why i tell you this is Buds is my back-up plan and they seem to always have 1 or 3 versions of this hard to find gun in stock at any time. I think i have a 50/50 chance ill be buying from buds.
BTW the local shop quoted me a price $7 cheaper than Buds, So they really want my business and ill do my best to keep it local. But you can bet when the day comes i have the full amount of cash if the LGS don't have my gun yet ill cancel the order and be on the phone with Buds.
Ive NEVER ordered a gun online, But i have no fear of doing it with Buds. And luckily another shop will do $20 transfers.
So for me to put that much faith in an online shop ive never bought from for such a high dollar amount is very unusual for me. So Buds must be doing something very right imo to get that kind of blind trust from me.
