Can I use a Lone Wolf Barrel for a Glock 17 in a Glock 26?

I'm wanting to shoot some lead reloads in my Glock 17 and in my Glock 26. But, if possible, I'd like to buy only one aftermarket lead compatible barrel.

Knowing that Lone Wolf sells extended length standard and ported barrels, I'm wondering if a standard Glock 17 Lone Wolf barrel would fit and function in a Glock 26.

Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks! :D

No.

the large frame glocks have their own barrels. The length of the locking ramp block or whatever you call it below the chamber is longer. You can use a glock 19 barrel in a glock 26. But not a Glock 17 barrel. I advise you not to try it. ;)

I don't think so.
Put your 26 barrel next to the 17 barrel, I think the locking lugs are different.

I can confirm this from the word of a local Glock armorer. 19 bbl, yes. 17 bbl, no.

All the mini Glocks are different from the full size when it comes to the barrels (and some other parts too). So no, you can't use a full size in a compact, and I don't think you can use a mid size in a compact either (but you can put a full size barrel in a mid size).

Lone Wolf sells a lot of barrels, but the two I've ordered from them had to go back, along with at least two of their slides. Way to loose for me, sure it drops in, but it also rattles like loose change. Save your money and get one from Storm Lake, they do a good drop in for a decent price. Barsto is best, but you'll need to fit it and that gets costly. EFK makes a nice barrel, but they don't get much lip around here.

But the best, in my opinion, is a factory Glock barrel. I can't shoot lead, but I do shoot plated and they work just fine. The whole unsupported chamber thing isn't as big of a deal in the 3rd gen .40's and particularly, the 10mm's. I can load max book loads for 10mm and using new brass, I get no case deformation and only slight bulging.

Go try it and see what happens. Be sure to film the results;)

You are mistaken. As noted above, FULL SIZE (glock 17, 22, etc.) barrels WILL NOT WORK in mid sized (glock 19 or 23, etc.) or subcompact (glock 26/27 etc.) pistols. However, MID SIZED barrels WILL WORK in their subcompact brothers (assuming same caliber).

Here's a G19 barrel in a G26 for example.

For the love of all that is holy, do not put a g17 barrel in a g26. It won't work, the locking lugs are different. I've tried it. It takes about an hour and a destroyed recoil spring to fix.
