So.. I pick up my CPL (concealed pistol license) on Monday. I own several guns, but not a single revolver... I am interested in picking up a small frame revolver as my carry weapon. First of all, I am debating between .357 or .38 special. I hear that a .357 revolver can handle .38 special as well. Please give me some pointers on good revolvers. Pictures or links would be quite helpful, Thanks!

The revolver has long though of as being the simple solution to a complex problem and I could not agree more. You can pocket carry a J Frame in your jacket and if it is an internal hammer model it can be deployed without ever being drawn. There are numerous advantages to the revolver and negligible disadvantages.

Zombi, sorry I was trying to insert a link but don't quite know how type in "snub nose file" in your search and you will fine a wealth of information on the snub nose revolver.

I like my S&W model 640 in 357 Mag. It is heavy enough to aid in the heavier recoil of the 357 Mag but light enough for carry. It is very accurate and very reliable.

Also fun to shoot with 38 specials.
