Well, I did a little search on here (well, with Yahoo, but if you're gonna get pissed off about that, you need to be pulling a bug out of your @s$ and not looking at guns) about the Ceiner .22LR conversion kit for the AR-15. Of course, the thread that came up was from 2005, when .223 was a tad more affordable. Now, it's $.30< a round, and the urgency is a bit more... palpable. I'm looking at ways to justify this AR-15 idea to my dad, and ammo cost is definitely something I'm looking to work on.

Some of the guys (and they are still around... ) said that Ceiner (don't remember the entirety of his name) was pretty much an S.O.B. to work with when it came to service. Any stories to back this up?

Are there any other ideas on how to make this whole AR-15 idea cheaper when it comes to ammo?

My buddy had a Ceiner M16 kit on his M16. It worked great and never had any issues when I shot with it. I dont remember him ever complaining about it, other than the cost of the extra mags, which were pricey then. (90's)
