Cheap 9mm at AIM

Pretty good deal on some plinking ammo, but I try to limit the more abrasive bi-metal projectiles through my bores.
Wal-mart still has the Federal aluminum cased 9mm for only $9.97 per box of 50, and lately they've been running a sale price on the Federal brass cased 9mm , at $12.77.

Just a heads up, this is the cheapest 9mm I've seen in a long time. Russian Wolf, great for plinking.

$8.95 per box of 50, $8.50/box if you buy 500 rounds.

I noticed SG Ammo has Brown Bear for the same price. I'm not sure but I thought the various "bear" brands are the best of the cheaper steel-cased stuff.

I know it produces significantly more wear for a rifle, but I haven't worried about it for pistol rounds. Most of the Wolf I shoot is through a Glock as well. I'm not very worried about wearing out the polygonal rifling.

Winders has Israeli 115 gr 9mm for $189 per 1000. Hot stuff but not plusP about 1240 fps.

You'll never notice a difference in barrel wear in a pistol caliber. There's a slight difference in rifle, but the price per round difference is commonly enough to more than pay for a new barrel and then some with the savings.
