For those that may not be aware, CMMg has added 1:7 twist chrome-lined barrel M4's to the Bargin Bin for $625.

They are getting rave reviews on AR-15.com

For $75.00 more, you can have a Free-Float 4-Rail forearm. From what I can gather, the Forearm is made by DPMS, and I haven't been able to confirm or deny that the forearm has anti-rotation screws. I suspect that they do NOT.

Even so, the rifles are a good deal. I was going to buy one until I realized I accidently bought a stripped AR lower a week or so ago.

I spoke to CMMG on the phone and did confirm (but don't take my word as gospel) that the barrels were 1:7 twist chrome-lined.

Just thought I'd let THR know.

EDIT: I should add that I am-- in no way-- affiliated with CMMG and the above is NOT an advertisement. I just wanted to spread the word. Seems its been on ARF for a bit, and I didn't know until a few days ago.

I thought so, too GunNut.

I should have mentioned... the lowers may be one of the following companies, and you can't choose:

CMMG
DPMS
DoubleStar.

I have heard nothing but great reviews from very happy owners with those CMMG bargain bin guns, and you sure as heck cant beat the price either. If I hadnt already ordered my Bushmaster M4 shortly before I heard about these (and wasn't so Thoroughly happy with mine), I would have gotten one of those in a heartbeat.Even with as pleased as I am with my Bushmaster, I admit I still get a bit jealous whenever someone mentions these guns, as I'm horribly stingy by nature, and the price difference would have paid for a pretty respectable ammo order...
