The Staten Island guy's response is a classic. He sums up in a few short sentences how he does not get it. Ted left out one of the most evil mass murders in US history, which also occurred in New York City. The Happy Land fire killed 87 people. It was done with matches and gasoline.

Pray for the families of victims everywhere, America. Study the methodology of evil. It has a profile, a system, a preferred environment where victims cannot fight back. Embrace the facts, demand upgrade and be certain that your children's school has a better plan than Virginia Tech or Columbine. Eliminate the insanity of gun-free zones, which will never, ever be gun-free zones. They will only be good guy gun-free zones, and that is a recipe for disaster written in blood on the altar of denial. I, for one, refuse to genuflect there.

The Staten Island guy is an Idoit Fudd. These people who claim they hunt but are against handguns and assault weapons are no better than the folks trying to take them away. They fail to realize that once our rights to handguns and assault weapons are gone HUNTING weapons are next!! As a matter of fact the congresswoman from his area (Mcarthy) wants to ban pretty much any gun.

Then there is the guy with the comment about god didn't want us to own guns. I am sure that is true but, it is a god given right to protect yourself and your loved ones, and in today's society a gun is the best way to do that.

Frankly I got sick in my stomach reading Mr. Nugent's article. According to Mr. Nugent, the solution is very simple: All citizens should be armed and the world would be a much safer place. Let's take a moment to think about the implication of this. The criminals are not dumb. If we average law-abiding citizens were allowed to freely purchase weapons, the criminals would do everything they could to ensure they have the upper hands on their firepower. Of course, we would immediately do the same to regain our upper hands. What then would you think the criminals would do in return?

Criminals aren't dumb??? That's news to me.....

I sued to LOVE that show "Ted or Alive" becasue he'd haul all these pansie people out into the woods and make them do survival, learn to hsoot guns, bows, kill to eat, and to gut their own animals to eat them! it was awesome. It was cool to see the few people that were receptive to learning, and then the idiots that tried to "free their chickens from the slaughter".
It was great!

Ted: Why won't you kill your Chicken and eat it? You've been eating leaves for 4 days!
Woman: Because I'm not a murderer! I buy my chickens at the store!
Ted: So you believe that since you pay someone else to murder your food for you, that removes you from the responsibility of their death? Isn't that a little foolish?

I agree with what Mr Nugent wrote in large part. Gun free zones affect only those who are inclined to obey the law. People who shoot up a church, mall, school, etc. are obviously missing that murder is against the law. If a law stopped people, there would be no need for courts or jails. I obey the law, and if carrying a firearm to protect my wife and children is prohibited in a place, I will obey, and spend my money in a place that does not hinder me from exercising my right to not wait 2-20 minutes for police to respond to an emergency that could end my life or the lives of my family.
