Wotta gun!
It's so pretty I hardly ever want to take it out. I usually carry it in a left ankle holster, but inside on my right leg, with the butt facing forward. Not kosher, but after experimenting, I found this the best all-around position for me.
I found, though, that with some trousers, it was faster to drop my pants to get at it than hauling up my pants leg, so I consider cuff width when dressing and rigging.
I also use other holsters.
I call it my "Fourth of July" gun. With +Ps, the flash and boom remind me of a 10" aerial salute. I figure if I miss, the flash will blind them and the concussion will knock them down, and then I can run like hell away from the situation.
The manual says it is OK to use +Ps, but it will accelerate wear. Gee, no kiddin'. For some reason, it also speaks of carrying it with an empty chamber under the hammer as the safest mode.
Humph! Maybe that's one of those "generic" warnings.
Double-action gets noticeably stiffer at the end of the stroke. My Smith 10-5, by contrast, has about the same pull all the way through the trigger stroke.
But it's soooo pretty. And that Colt blueing! Ah! To utterly die for!
BTW, the rubber grips interfere with some speed loaders, and ask them to send you a manual while you're on the phone with them regarding the serial number.
