I saw a Colt Detective Special, blued, .32, with no shroud in a store today. It looked like it was in excellent condition. It had the bump-style front sight, not a ramp. Also had Colt wood stocks. Not sure about what year or anything. No box or anything.

Any idea what a ballpark figure for one like that would be? I'm pretty sure I can get it for $375.

Thanks in advance!

Colt Detective Specials

are gett'in very scarce, at least in this neck of these old woods. They are
all over the map price wise; from $200 for an 80% model, to $550 for a
factory LNIB nickel .38 Special model (without the enclosed ejector). I
have been a benefactor of a gun shop employee; acquiring four Colt D
frames (three 2nd series [1947-1972] Dick Specials, and a later new
model (late '72) Agent for a total cost of $880.24~! The two blued
Dick Specials rate above 95% N.R.A. standards, and both date to
1966; while the factory nickel model is 99.7%, and dates back to
1971. The Dick Special from 1971, has only been test fired six times~! ;)
