So if you read the post on 22 hunting squirrels of mine, latest update was I bought a beretta Neo U22 for wife to plink with 6in. Barrel (but now she wishes it was 4” good luck finding the barrel only to swap). And for me incoming soon via mail, new Browning Buckmark Contour in the 7.25” pics coming soon.

My next education I am hoping to extract from the community is about shooting stick. Remember, 7.25 barrel, heavy, scoped, woods, tiny target and 25 - 30 yars max. Do I even need one? Mono, bi? How do you adjust to point up in tree vs on ground (ball like pod head like for a camera?) This fact eludes me. For a pistol, are you holding the stick with offhand? Is the stick collaspable or like a walking stick? Is their a certain height or one height comfy level should be fine?

I could be over thinking this as an old man thinks about everything in life more not sure I even need a stick, will find out, but want to get a jump on everyones input as I have never used a stick and never thought about one for a pistol until now with my desire to hunt with pistol vs rifle for squirrels as the rifle is just not something I wish to carry around out there ducking and diving all the limbs.. Thanks for any input and especially anything I may wish to know as I go out.

20 - 30yrds, fast shooting, close and extreme vertical change? I’d probably leave it at home.
Or what @Fyrstyk says, the forest is filled with shooting sticks!:)

I don’t use hiking sticks, even though I make a lot of them. I know they’re useful but I get tired of carrying them. I’d have to get it out each time.
