Convert S&W 1076 to 1086?

I bought a S&W 1076 today, and I like the pistol. I shoot it better DA than SA, which is interesting, but I shot the S&W 5946 I had really well. I'm not a huge DA/SA fan (prefer SA or DAO), but when you can't get your hands around a Glock 20 your 10mm options are limited (yeah, I know, I need to get a 1911 in 10mm).

So, here's my gunsmithing question. Can the 1076 be easily converted to DAO, a la the hard to find 1086? Thanks in advance.
