Shorts thank you and you are correct sir. I was just not being as observent. figured I would be breif on the description since its a truck I own and not a gun. this being a gun forum. Still have the truck in the gargage and the "toy" comes in on the 8th 9th and 10th digit. :) by the way, its a 5.3 liter v8, thats for sure. Its also a chevrolet, not a gmac. P.S , The VIN # has "toy" in it . chevrolet service tech was the first to make comment on it saying he 'd never seen it before.

One of my early custom Paras has a gunsmith frame. Although technically WG4545 stands for "(shipped in the) White, Gunsmith (frame) number 45, I tell everyone who happens to notice (and yes, I hang around with people who notice) that it means "Wakal's Gun 45".

Pure luck on that one.

My wife's Open STI, though, was ordered as "Liota Open".

I won a prize gun years ago; hard to forget where as the serial number is "TX Limit x" for the year of the Texas State Limited in which it was the prize gun :)

In checking my records, way back in the very early 70's I had a NIB
S&W 4" model 57 .41 magnum thats serial ended with the numerals
"454". Reck'on the folk's at Smith saw that far down the road? :D

Or how about a blue steel 4" barrel Ruger Security-Six thats serial
ended with "357"? Or a H&R model 929 that ended with "380".

That would be "ma'am" ;) Well I figured all the basic information was there, I was working out of my 88-98 Chilton's. GM does wierd things with their codes depending on the generation. After the 99+ models came out, I quit "liking" GMs, didn't like the 5.3, I love the 5.7, and I never forgave them for going to IFS :barf:

Anyway, my other hobby before guns are 4wheeling in trucks, and when I saw a general statement about a "red z71 loaded", it wasn't getting away without fire :D

When I get my SVI it will have an as yet unselected custom #.

Other than that, there is a Glock out there, I think a 27, that is EVL666. I'd love to have it.

I once owned a Sig with # x(letter)012345.
Thought it was cool. Not cool enough to keep the gun though...

Nope, no cool ones here, but the number engraved in the slide of my Polymer Kimber is 100 Higher than the number in the frame...

I looked at something that contained 62779 in the serial number. I passed on it for some odd reason, but that number stuck in my head for a few days, and it took a while to figure out why. It was awful, worse than getting a song that you cant stand stuck in your head.

I was getting gas and a red Trans Am pulled up to the pump next to me, which reminded me of an ex-gf, whose birthday is June 27, 1979. I'm glad I didnt buy the gun, it would have probably kBed or something.
