Midway USA has the Accura v1 thumbhole stock model for $260. Or I could go with plan A and get a CVA Wolf v2 at Walmart for $160. Should I just get the wolf or opt for the accura? Also, if I am only going to shoot 100 yards to begin with, do I really need a scope? Thank you Everyone.

That's a great price on the Accura. I paid $400 for mine.

A scope would be better, but you don't need one if you have good eyes.

I have not made up my mind as of yet. The most practical decision would be to get the Wolf V2 and put a Nikon Omega 3-9x40 on it. Or just shoot iron sights at 100 yards and less.

Accura

I had about the same option. The Wolf was around 180 and the Accura was 230. I went with the Accura and have been very pleased. Only used 4 rounds to zero it in. Second day out with it I took a large buck. I saw several post's just like this and was still skeptical. A lot can be said for circumstances and who is handling the weapon. But I was surprised, and obviously a believer now. Were I hunt we are lucky to have an open shot over 50 yards. I have killed all my dear under 75 yards. After seeing a pattern all season, we wanted to see if we could hit a specific target 128 yards away. With out any bullet drop, or windage adjustment, I was on target with 145 g bullet and 100 g of pellets. If that doesn't do something for your confidence... The gun feels good to hold and has very little recoil. Glad I spent the extra $50. The Accura was black as opposed to the Camo Wolf, but that has not seemed to make a difference in the woods. The Camo may look cooler, but I was looking for performance. Hope this helps

I think the black stocks look good myself..I know I like the synthetic stocks. They hold up good, especially in cold weather country, not to mention sometimes having to drag them through tangles of vines, briar patches, etc. etc....

Thanks everyone. Old thread. I ended up buying a T/C Omega Z5 and put a Nikon Omega scope on it. I successfully missed 3 deer with this combo, haha. Better luck next year.
