I've not heard of rock-dumping onto rafts. We had a shooting incident, back in the 1980s.
It's several miles from any habitation to the top of any of the Park's three canyons. Not worth the walk for casual doofusness. By and large, any high vantage point along the Rio is a good long walk from anywhere.
