I', looking for a decent scope for my AR I'll be shooting 100 to 200 yrds and would like somthing with magnification. any suggestion on a good scope to purchase and or which magnification would be right I'm looking at a Bushnell 3200 5x15x50

I'm hardly an expert, but I'm quite pleased with the Leupold VX-II 3-9x40mm I recently put on an AR-15. It was $299 at Optics Planet. Eye relief is ~3.5".

I'd vote the Leupold , others would do different. Go do a search on this subject and I bet you can find well in excess of a hours reading on the subject.

Hmm Ill go out on a limb here and suggest you pick up any quality click adjustable variable ( clicks tend to be repeatable ) . IE a 3x9 or 4x12 from wallmart . Now this is now an answer to what you will eventualy grow into , but does allow you to play with scopes for a reasonable price to decide what you want to spend 1/2 to full price of your ar on when it comes to optics .

There are a couple of ways to test a scope.

Shhot the box. Shoot a 5 round group, then move right a couple of MOA and shoot another 5, then move down 2 MOA and shoot a third. Move left 2 MOA and shoot another 5. Then move up 2 MOA and shoot the last group. Is it the same place as the first group?

Shoot a group at minimum power. Zoom in and shoot another group at max power. Are they in the same place?

Resolution. Print a resolition test chart and post it 100 yards. See what you can resolve. This will seperate the good from the also ran really quickly.
