I recently bought a sig p228 and a sig p220. Both are excellent and feel great. However the decocker on the p220 snaps down fast and the p228 is a diffrent feeling. It let's off and does not drop until my finger is down. Is this the gun or the model? Any info appreciated

I have an old (early 80s) European P 220, and the hammer snaps down when I use the de-cocker. So, it very well may be a model issue.
Don't have a P228, so can't be certain.
