I bought some 125 grain Speer Gold Dots from Rocky Mountain Reloading and many of the bullets have what look like mini stainless steel flying saucers stuck inside the hollow points.
What do you think these are? And do you think Speer made a bad batch? Or maybe RMR sold me a bunch of rejected bullets from the factory?
Many of the other bullets look very inconsistent as well. The bullet on the far right is shorter than the rest. Some have weird looking cones on them and others have excess copper on the sides of the jacket. They don't seem very premium to me.
