Do you shoot in your backyard?
What state do you shoot in?
I am wondering because In a year or so we might move to either Texas,Tennessee,or maybe Arkansas.I want to live in a state with cheap land and big houses and be able to conceal carry and be able to own almost any gun I want.
Also If I live in a suburban area is .22 LR loud enough to stir up problems?

Absolutely! So do my neighbors. Here is northern Maine, prior to hunting season I can sit on my patio about any weekend and hear my neighbors siting in their guns, and practicing, practicing, practicing. Kind of inspires and comforts me.

Nice laid back quiet place to live. Land and homes are reasonable, guns are the norm and not only tolerated but accepted and revered. Used to commute to N.Y.C. & Boston on a regular basis. Don't miss it a bit.

Our income up here isn't the best, state taxes are a beast, but the crime is super low and the schools are good.

Maine "The Way Life Should Be". Of course, i may be slightly prejudiced. I am a Realtor.:D

Yes!

But you just need to move one state to the west. Great CCW laws, inexpensive land to do whatever, and as rural or urban as you like depending where you buy. It's even POSSIBLE(not always, but sometimes) to open carry.

Yes. Texas allows you to CC any legal-to-purchase handgun (non-full-auto) provided you pass the CC course with a semi-auto pistol of .32 ACP or above.
You need at least a .32 to pass the CC course with - but you can carry any caliber you like once you get your license. No limit on how many guns you can CC, no place on your license mentioning what gun you're carrying.

Legal to carry a shotgun or rifle openly or concealed - except government buildings, schools*. You can have them in a gun rack, loaded or no.

*Legal doesn't mean you wouldn't get hassled for toting an AR around town by the police - disturbing the peace or some such charge. Not suggested that you try it. If you want to carry a semi-auto thompson around town in a violin case, you're welcome to do it... I imagine. Not a lawyer, though.

May be city ordinances in some areas against noise pollution, but I live outside the city limits.

Texas allows possession of any and every gun a citizen could legally own - full autos, suppressors, SBRs, SBSs, AOWs, DDs. If you can pass federal requirements for whatever gun you're buying, you're free to own it. No restrictions on mag size, either.

Businesses not wanting CCers to carry in the building must post ordinance 30.06 in full, in english and spanish, clearly visible. Think I noticed a bank that didn't have that ordinance on it.

Only problem is that we don't have open carry. No problem with carry on your own property.

I sometimes shoot in my backyard, and I live in Ohio. I have room and a clear backdrop where I can set up a target if I want to zero a rifle or test a gun. If I want a day of shooting I go to the range.

I've also come to rely on a .357 Magnum levergun as a good choice for varmint control, plinking, etc... around my home property. Plenty of hitting power within its effective range, but without the trajectory of a rifle round.

Like others I shoot anywhere on my property that I desire. I have filled many deer tags in my yard.
My back yard borders over a 1000 acers of flood plain and wet lands with corn and bean fields near by.
Life is great in rural Iowa.

As the Master says, "You must choose wisely."

Because I can

This should creep everyone out.
I live in jersey and shoot in by back yard.
Town dosen't have a sound ord, so I shoot at will.
Not much distance but good for testing new reloads for functionality.
I have a small dirt berm and about 100',200' if I shoot from a 2nd floor window.
The land goes down hill so even if I over shoot the berm I still have a mile of corn field. All the neighbors are hunters or gun owners so no one says boo.
What sucks is I can see Pa from the house just haven't moved to america yet.
