I could sure use some help from someone at Springfield Inc. My sob story about my UPS destroyed BM-59 has been told here:

The one thing I don't seem to be able to find out from customer service at SA, is just how bad off the rifle is?
I first found out the rifle I shipped to SA was damaged late last Friday. I've been waiting all week for UPS to inspect the rifle, and now a week has passed, and they have still not inspected my rifle. :banghead:
I'm not criticizing the ladies in customer service at SA at all. They have been pleasant, helpful, and responsive to my calls. It's just that they are very good at insulating the guys in the rifle shop from the customer, and can't really tell me exactly what happened to the rifle while in transit to SA.
I'm not sure the customer service ladies understand how much it drives a guy crazy to have a vague acknowledgement from SA that your $1800 rifle arrived busted up, but without any real details regarding what exactly is broken. All I was told was that the stock was "broken" and the op rod punched through the box.
If I have to go through another weekend knowing only that my rifle was "damaged" and not knowing specifically in what way, I'm liable to need some serious medication courtesy of Budweiser.
If anyone here works at SA and can help me find out just how wrecked up my rifle is I would appreciate it.
