Bought this on New Years Day!

1967 4" Model 57 S&W S-prefix with the extra wide target trigger, target hammer, white outline rear sight and red ramp front. The stocks are original to the gun...:)

The 41 mag is a nice gun. I have one in nickel but don't shoot it much. Thing cost more to shoot then a 44mag and almost as much as a 500.

Great gun. I have a nickel plated 4" and the blue finish M57 Mountain Gun. I like the mountain gun a lot. It is the one I shoot the most. I'd like to pickup a blue finish 6" one of these days.

Ammo is about the same price as 44 mag ammo. Check out GA Arms for moderate priced ammunition.

7.0grs of Unique with 215gr cast wad cutters are a awesome combination for a 4 inch 41mag.

That is very, very nice and a very desirable revolver! A 4" 57 is on my list to get someday.

Also, it's quite interesting that the stocks aren't diamonds. 1968 is generally accepted as the switch-over year. That must have been one of the earliest guns with the "new" style grips. They have excellent character and look perfectly fit from what I can tell of the mating at the backstrap. Also interesting it's RR/WO - not as common then and I think (but I am not sure) a special order feature, not regular production. I may be mistaken on that, but it occurs to me as I look at that nice gun. Congratulations again.

Nice

What a good looking wheelie. Nice find. use it well and enjoy.

57s are habit forming. My 4" is from around '77. There's 3 of them now, they pretty much get all the credit for starting me with metallic reloading.
