It's November 3rd. Kerry has won the Electoral College with very little margin of error. Kerry won mainly because he was able to take Pennsylvania.
The margin is thin. Say about 2000 votes, statewide.
There are 15000 Pennsylvanian military personnel overseas who were effectively disenfranchised as a result of all the dicking around about whether or not Nader would be on the ballot (this held up the printing of absentees ballots long enough for it to be impossible for them to be returned in time for the elections... this was the unstated goal of the Democrats, and they were aided and abetted by Gov Rendell).
Given that, according to various polls, armed forces members overseas tend to vote 70-75% for Bush, in this scenario the uncounted military votes would be enough to turn the state into a Bush win.
