Interesting factoid regarding factory magazines for the HK USP Compact:

The .40S&W post-ban 10-rounders will hold and feed 13 rounds of 9x19 reliably, without any modification to the magazine.

It's a lot easier to swallow the $50 price sticker for a USPc spare magazine if one "accidentally" orders .40 mags for a 9x19, and ends up with perfectly legal factory hi-caps. :D

Would you trust the reliability of these enough to use them for self defense? Or just for range or competition?

Just curious.

I've been doing it almost exclusively w/ my USPc 9. I have only one 9mm mag for it, the rest are 40 that have worked reliably for many many rounds.

Time for somebody to design some REALLY wide cartridges, at least one gun to fire each and 80,000 magazines as accesories...

Yeah the MK1 Boombaster magazine holds 10 50 caliber bullets pretty well some of the time, but oddly the magazine perfectly holds 13 rounds for the Glock 21...

The MKII Boombaster magazine holds ten 10 gauge shotgun shells ok most of the time (were working on that) but oddly looks and works just like AR-15 C-mag...

Crimminal thinking from a Parole Officer, it's sad:uhoh:

Blueduck, it's not criminal thinking if it hasn't been modified and still functions in the original weapon ;)

I think quite a few guns will work this way. One time I accidentally used Sig 228 9mm mags in my Sig 229 .40 during a qualification.
