I'm very familiar with Larry Brown and his tax problems. He's no hero, He's an ass that doesn't abide by the same rules the rest of us have to. No sympathy here. Essex

bad shoot either way, guy was unarmed and scared cause the tree in front of him just became a person, I'd run too if I were unarmed.

Yeah, I'm not sure that has anything to do with whether its legal and/or maral to shoot someone. I dont really think just being an ass, someone who doesnt follow the govt.'s rules, or being simply a supporter of said person qualifies a justification to shoot them.

I dont like the tax code/laws anymore than the next guy, but currently, it IS the law, and I dont think we have exhausted our options to the point we need to just ignore those laws, or take up arms against the government.I think we still have PLENTY of other ways to change them if we want at this point.

That said, I cant see the video, as Youtube is blocked here at work, but if all the guy did was run away from someone, unarmed, I dont see how shooting them would be legal or justified, even for an LEO, unless they GENUINELY thought letting him escape posed a SERIOUS risk to the safety of the public, which would be hard to justify if he was unarmed, and wasnt an escaped rapist, murderer, etc, who had shown he was willing to kill or harm people. I'll have to watch this when I get home, and will comment then if I see anything that changes my mind.

Didn't this episode happen in June of 2007? They took the guy in for questioning and then returned him to the compound.

No medical treatment was necessary. He wasn't shot, he was surrounded.

make a choice to join a nutter who is making appeals on the net for body armor and armored vehicles. whose"plan" was to hide the house payoff using postal money orders. funny in a sad way. you make that choice be grateful all you get is questioned and released

Fair Tax

I might disagree with Mr Brown's tactics, but the Fair Tax is really a much better way to go. And, isn't it true that the original frammers of the constitution felt it illegal to tax a man's labor? My first concern is government over spending. How what's needed is collected is secondary, but important. I still hope McCail picks Huckabee as VP. While I don't support everything Huck does, he is a big proponent of the Fair Tax.

Fair tax - be forewarned, if the thread debates tax legalities it will be closed for becoming "off-topic"... as much as I'd like to hear about getting rid of the income tax, the mods here wont allow it to be discussed at length
