Thinking of opening a firearm store in a retail mall. Already have zoning and State Police approval. How long does processing an FFL take? Anyone know?
You can't get it approved until you have a location, which I now do.
Thanks

As I remember, not long...

...but that was a few years back. Two BATFE folks came out & we talked about what I wanted to do, they took notes, left and maybe 3 weeks later I had the paper. End to end, I don't think it was more than two months. The state dealers license was a bit tougher, had to go into the SP and explain what, where, when & why to them, then go back for a "Come to Jesus" meeting to raise my awareness of what they expected. Also took about 2 months, end-to-end.
Where are you? Good luck with your enterprise!

I wouldn't be using an email addy for a "name" in here -- unless you're looking to get deluged with SPAM.

Robotic SPAM programs seach online and collect email addys posted everywhere. Then the addy gets "published" online, and you're an open target for SPAM.

I think about an FFL, just because I'm a de facto "gun dealer." I buy and sell, trade, collect . . .

Seems like a license would make it all faster and easier.
