Stoeger SxS based Lupara aka "bear claw".

Been looking for so long. Found a soluton off the beaten path in a side overflow black powder area at Cabela's nowhere near other holsters.

Tripple K Style 1514 Howda Black Powder Pistol Holster. Really nice looking. Tried it on a Stoeger at the store with the help of the counter guy. Barely fit and trigger not covered. Tight. Even tighter on my gun at home. No go.

I soaked the muzzle end of the holster in hot water with just a single tiny drop of Joy dish soap for 15 seconds, put a couple bread bags over the muzzle end of the gun, put on a Barry White album, and holsered the gun until the trigger was covered. Went in too easy (could have done with a shorter soak or no Barry White). I'm going to leave it like that for a couple days. Since the foregrip has a litle concavity at both ends I think it is going to "snap" into the holster like it was deigned for it.

Nice, I've been looking for a solution for mine, but only could come up with a couple of local custom leather guys who weren't too keen on it.

Mine has a splinter foregrip, unlike the Stoeger. How do you think that will affect the fit? Will I still have to stretch it out, or would it be too loose?

It's really amazing how much hot wet leather stretches (the Barry White reference was a South Park reference). The holster was designed for an open hammer big bore black powder pistol and is generously sized at the top. The barrel section of the holster may be just right for a splinter forend.

I'll post some pics later but an not home until Sunday.
